I've always had an interest in photography. At first, I took photos to document events in my life, that changed when I entered the Media Arts Department at Pierce College in Fall of 2015. I fell in love with journalism when I joined my college newspaper, The Roundup. I started as a reporter writing for the publication, then continued to be news editor, social media editor, managing editor, and Editor-in-Chief in Fall of 2017.
I was also a part of the magazine The Bull, in Fall 2016 as a writer and social media editor for the publication. I’ve helped improve the social media aspect of the publication and increased the numbers of followers throughout the semester.
Journalism has led me to pursue many writing opportunities such as a research analyst for Innovate LA, social media assistant for CSUN Today, assistant campus editor for The Sundial newspaper and editorial assistant for The Malibu Times.
